HOW DO YOU SECURE A POP-UP GAZEBO?

Cast-iron weights are ideal for anchoring your pop-up gazebo on terraces, balconies, concrete, asphalt or any other hard surface. Their flat design, 34x34 cm surface area, and practical carry handles make them easy to handle and stack.
And if strong winds suddenly pick up? No problem. Just slide the weights onto the gazebo legs and position them on the base. Your pop-up gazebo will stay securely in place.
Our cast-iron weights are zinc-coatedfor long-lasting durability. In addition, the coating helps prevent corrosion and rust.

Withstands gusts of up to 100 km/h

Tested in a wind tunnel

To ensure the effectiveness of our weights, we tested them by securing our pop-up gazebos in a wind tunnel. They passed with flying colours! They can withstand wind gusts of up to 100 km/h.

Wondering how much weight is needed to secure a 3x3 m E1 gazebo to withstand strong winds?
You can download our PDF chart detailing the required weights for different wind speeds in our instruction manual. For guidelines specific to our E2 and E3 series gazebos, click here

Top tip:

Since weather and wind are unpredictable, we always recommend professional ground fastening. Our 15 kg weights are suitable for smaller pop-up gazebos (1.5x1.5 m, 2x2 m, 3x1.5 m and 3x2 m). For larger pop-up gazebo sizes, it’s best to use these weights alongside our 28 kg weights for enhanced stability and security.

How can a pop up gazebo be fastened?

3 methods, 1 result

Stable pop up gazebos thanks to efficient fastening methods

There are various ways to anchor a pop up gazebo to the ground. Here are the three methods we would like to recommend you:

  • Our 15 kg and 28 kg gazebo weights are particularly suitable if the pop up gazebo has to be moved frequently or won’t be standing in the same place for a long time. We have used these gazebo leg weights for our wind tunnel tests and they proved to be very efficient! The best thing about these galvanised steel weights? They have a clean design, are rustproof, scratch-resistant, stackable and easy to transport. Ideal if you are looking for handiness, stability and safety.
  • To secure a pop up gazebo in a meadow, you can also use the anchoring kit with tensioning straps and pegs. You only need a few minutes to fix the pop up gazebo, but the result is a completely stable structure that will last for a long time.
  • The most long-term solution for fixing a pop up gazebo in the garden is to use screws with a length of at least 40 cm that will anchor it firmly even in adverse weather conditions.

For maximum safety, these 3 solutions can also be combined!

Screws or gazebo weights

There are 2 ways to attach the pop up gazebo to the road. The choice depends on the type of use.
Normally, pop up gazebos on the street have to be dismantled at the end of the day. For this reason, our galvanised steel weights (15 kg or 28 kg) are the ideal solution. They are stackable, easy to transport and rustproof.
However, if you want to leave the pop up gazebo outside all season and have the possibility to do so, we recommend drilling holes in the asphalt and fastening the pop up gazebo with 10 cm screws. This ensures long-term stability.
